Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand, located in the Andaman Sea 860 kilometres south of Bangkok. The pearl of the Andaman, or the pearl of the south as it is often called due to it's natural resources, the island is mostly mountainous' with limestone cliffs, white powdery Patong beach and the tranquil bays of Kata and Karon. Connected to Phang-Nga province (mainland Thailand) by a bridge, Phuket enjoys excellent connections acting as a hub for travel to all the Andaman Sea islands & beaches.
